November
Plate Club
Four lifts, each loaded with plates. Lift all four in November and you’re in the club. And while we lift, we’re raising money for Movember.
Press 60. Bench 100.
Squat 140. Deadlift 180.
| Lift | Plates a side | kg | lb |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strict press | One | 60 | 135 |
| Bench press | Two | 100 | 225 |
| Back squat | Three | 140 | 315 |
| Deadlift | Four | 180 | 405 |
A plate is a 20 kg plate (45 lb in the US), on a 20 kg bar (45 lb). One rep counts.
It’s a club, not a race

Lift it
A part ticks when you log a set at or above the weight, in November. Iron Church counts it from your logged sets, so nobody posts a score.
You’re in
Tick all four and you’re in the club, and you keep the honour. There’s no ranking by weight.
Brodin writes the four weeks.
You lift.
Brodin, the coach inside Iron Church, writes a four-week block to peak your lifts for an attempt. He reads your estimated max and tells you what’s in reach.
Your plan pauses for four weeks, then picks up where you left it.
Start your block by 3 November, so your attempt week falls inside the event. After that you can still join and lift on your own plan.
We’re raising money
for Movember
November is when the world grows a moustache for men’s health. Brodin already has a full one, so we’re lifting instead.
We’ve set up an Iron Church team page on Movember. If you can give, that’s where to do it. Giving happens on Movember’s own site.
Nothing is paid or collected in the app, and giving earns nothing in it. The honour comes from lifting.
