After the massively tough 900 meter climb up the ’28 corners’ of
China’s Tiger Leaping Gorge this was the 3000 meter view down the
valley.
The gorge was a two day long hike split into regular stops at hostels
along the way. The climb is famously hard, but some people made it
look easy; not I. I needed the aid of a stout stick by the end as the
cliff is very exposed to the weather, in our case a very hot sun that
blazed down upon us.
The next day was mostly downhill, but included very narrow thin passes
past fast flowing waterfalls that threaten to sweep you over the 300
meter drop to your doom. I stuck some mp3’s of Alan Watts in my ears
and enjoyed the cool breeze.
