The mighty hilltop fort of Amber.
Escaping the cool airconditioned comfort of our one-night-only hotel
was not easy. Hiking up the hill in the 40 degree heat was harder
still. However, the results were worth it. This amazing wall is part
of the inner palace’s Jai Mandir and a private city all of it’s own.
The only strange thing is the audiotour that has all the buildings
speaking in the first person, which lends a quirky, Disney-like air to
the procedings.
