Normally when Cesca asks me, “Did the Earth move for you darling?” it has certain connotations, but not today.
Today, here in the sandcastle desert of Jaisalmer, the earth REALLY moved as an Earthquake hit the town. Screaming and people running followed the shaking outside.
For us? We have been in a few now and we simply stood under the archway and then went back to bed.
“Should I go check outside?” Cesca asked.
“Yeah, and if it’s Pakistan nuking the military base nearby, try not to get any on you…”
Thankfully nothing was damaged, but I wonder how many of those the old fort can take?
Basho
PS. It was only a really small one, so don’t worry about us mum!
