All I can tell you is that in my whole year away, I never used it. Not once. My Rohan Jacket covered me fine. The poncho is very light and large enough to cover both me and my bag. I will take it on my next camping trip, but I can't promise when that will be. I will weigh it over the weekend for you :)

Hey there,

I read you own the Trekmates Typhoon Poncho wich I'm interested in to buy. Could you test it in rain already and does it a good job? Also, I can't find a weight of the poncho - I asked at trekmates and they told me "40 grams / 1½ ounce" wich I just can't believe. It would be great if you could weight the poncho for me.

Thank you very much in advance. You got a nice blog here, keep on the good work.
