I have had to think back to when I wrote this to consider why I put it that way. The bombs were not just planted by Muslims, they were the Muslims. The act was intensely religious on their part, strapping high explosives to themselves and blowing it up in public is that much more extreme than merely blowing up a bag left on the train. These were people. The other aspect I considered was how frightened we have become of the supra overloaded word "terrorist". We call almost anything terrorism now from bombs to website posting secrets. It has become an empty word. At the time I remember that I wasn't "terrorised" at all, just unhappy that people have died, angry that it had got to this, and determined not to be scared by it all.

So, I take your comment onboard, but these were "people bombs", these people were Muslims, and so they were Muslim bombs: as much as that doesn't scan as well as "terrorist".
