Google take over the world?

Update: This link is flying around the world. Perhaps this will turn into a self fulfilling prophesy?

The following link is to a media project flash of a possible future history. Many people are worried about where Google are going and what implications there will be when it gets there, and this movie examines one possible route.

I, personally, think this will be a better route than where we are going now. I mean most of my countries news is owned by an evil minded Australian. Someone tell me how it could be possibly worse.

Decide for yourself!

EPIC - Google: the future?

I agree that the film put a slightly menacing tone on the whole thing, which was lost on me.

The only down side seemed to be that the future EPIC users might not be able to break out of the self built restrictive walls if their viewing is totally regulated to what the computer thinks they want to see. Such could be abused.

But wait a minute how the *fruitcage* is that different from now? If you read the Sun then you read how Ross Kemp is being beaten by his wife, that some girl on page 3 has the obligatory two nipples and Man U are still ######. Nothing more… isn’t this a basic version of what EPIC would do already? Are we not already ignoring what we don’t want to see? I think half of America totally ignores the rest of the world, so wtf.

Same old; same old. mellow.gif

The benefits would be that ANYONE can be a reporter. This is what a lot of people are finding out with the power of Blogs. Check out this Forbes report into it:

As for much of the technology, the Japanese already have it. Contextual notes attached to geography via mobile phone have been over there for ages.

One thing I took from it is that A9 is now my home page!
