Emmetts shop was been established in 1880 and is a wonder in this day and age. Simply the best cuts of beef and ham in the world. All sold by the amazingly professional Mr Thomas and cut using an old world manual slicer. I very quickly dropped £20 on some smoked mild cured back bacon and the very interesting sounding Scotish Bree known as Bishop Kennedy! Suffolk folk have been guarding this secret for generations but the Food Hero’s tv series has made him well known outside the little village. Mind you, he was always popular to those in the know as the Queen mother came here and she was partial to a good cut of bacon.
