DENIED!
Well, last week I bought a cheap pair of BB-Toyz FrogGoggs for use as eye protection in Airsoft.
I was very happy as they appeared to offer everything I was after in Airsoft eyewear. Then came the testing!
Here is my most powerful gun. The awesome CA M15 A4 shoots at about 320 out of the box. Lets see what it did to these goggles!
OMG. Now these shots were at the range of 15 ft using .2 BB’s. This is only the average range I engage the opponents in Airsoft and by no means the minimum safe distance as I have had gun fights at 3ft before.
Now, whilst they would have saved my eyes for these shots, I for one wont be wearing these in battle! The mesh is just a little too flimsy and multiple hits will cause the mesh to fail and BB’s to get through. So, whilst I am sure they would do for woodland, they are not in my opinion suitable for urban skirmishing.
