My first Everquest 2 post.
Amazing. Well, I finally have the game in my hands after months of waiting and a few years since I last played EQ.
Although even getting my hands on it was not without adventure itself. Gameplay, the online game ordering website, has had my order in for two months and the delivery date was today. Nothing turns up and so I called them. It turns out that my credit card had expired yesterday. Highly ironic that they have had the card details for all that time and just as they put them through it expires. Surely their software should have picked this up. never mind. Armed with a righteous zeal I venture down the shops and find a copy at virgin megastore. Amen to that.
Then came the bigger challenge, the wife! Luckily I had sowed the seeds by warning her of EQ2’s imminent arrival and getting her to agree one “games night” per week, with the proviso that she gets two days notice. I also got permission to run raids until the we’small hours with advanced notice! Cool! A quick text today and tonight is set aside for gaming…
Lets see how long it takes to install.
